  3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea

Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

User configuration of dashboard in new UI

Users cannot configure their dashboard in the new UI, they instead have to switch to the standard UI to make changes and accept the re-formatting of the dashboard when task / oversight / report information is automatically overlaid on their dashboard in the new UI.

Currently this means their clean dashboard in the standard UI is now overly busy / collapsed to fit everything in.

1. Allow the same level of user configuration of dashboard in the new UI, for the widgets
2. Utilise a similar design to the developer tool tabs (new graphical development view / JSON view / Preview), so users can easily tab between
tasks / oversight / participation / dashboard widgets / reports (with tasks always the default starting tab)

    This request has been delivered in OpenPages 8.1.

    The new OpenPages® dashboard provides users and administrators with the ability to build a landing page that is relevant to them based on their responsibilities and duties.

    • Administrators can define dashboard content by profile.

    • Users can further personalize their dashboard and adapt it to the things that matter to them.

    • For upgrades, existing user panels are automatically uploaded.
