We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Hi John,
This function is already present for simple string fields as part of the operations of Workflows, as it is already possible for text it should be fairly easy to extend for decimal fields. The date field also has an increment by day function. I understand the idea of the operations is to reduce the number of basic triggers that need to be developed. At the moment we have implemented a workaround using a simple string field to hold numbers and increment the field as text in the operation instead.
Thanks, Adam
Hi Adam,
Thanks again for submitting this Idea!
For use cases such as "how many times the due date of an Issue has been extended", what is the maximum typically? If this maximum is low, we are wondering what the issue is with using a Trigger?
Please provide additional reasons why you believe using Triggers to satisfy the use case is not sufficient.
Thanks,
John Lundgren - Senior Offering Manager - OpenPages GRC
